Versailles Cat Walk | Palace of Versailles
Versailles Cat Walk was inspired by my enduring fascination with the Palace of Versailles, a place I have returned to many times over the years. This painting was completed in fond memory of revisiting the palace during France's celebration of La Fête Nationale (Bastille Day) in July 2025, when Versailles once again reminded me why it remains one of the world's great monuments to beauty, artistry, and human imagination.
A solitary woman walks beneath glittering chandeliers, her back turned toward us as she enters one of history's most magnificent interiors. Though surrounded by extraordinary splendor, the painting is ultimately less about Versailles itself than about aspiration. It reflects the universal longing to become our highest selves—to step into a life shaped by grace, confidence, beauty, and possibility.
Painted in luminous Impressionist brushwork, Versailles Cat Walk celebrates light, elegance, and the timeless spirit of French culture. It is both a tribute to Versailles and a reminder that beauty has the power to inspire us long after we have left the palace behind.
